Queens Award

This evening Burntwood & Cannock Chase Community First Responders we’re presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service by the Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Mr Ian Dudson. The High Sheriff of Staffordshire, Pippa Gee, was also in attendance. This the highest award given to volunteers and is the MBE for voluntary groups. This is given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work in their communities. The awards were created in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and winners are announced each year on 2nd June – the anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation. The team are extremely honoured to have received this award.

Thank you to all our supporters and those who have helped this event happen.
