Coronavirus (COVID-19) Advice

With the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases increasing daily, it’s important we all know what we can do to help protect ourselves and those around us, as well as minimise the spread.

The up to date advice is to STAY AT HOME, TO SAVE LIVES…

Public Health England have also advised you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds at a time when doing any of the following;

  • Get home or into work
  • Blow your nose, sneeze or cough
  • Eat or handle food

The NHS advise the following;

Wash your hands with soap and water often, and do this for at least 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitiser if soap and water is not available.
After use, put tissues straight in the bin and wash your hands throughly.

Try and avoid contact with those who are unwell.
✅ Work from home, if you can.

❌ Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth when hands are not clean.
❌ Avoid contact with those who have symptoms or are unwell.
❌ Avoid social activities, such as going to pubs, restaurants, theatres and cinemas.
❌ Avoid events with large groups of people.
❌ Do not have visitors to your home, including friends and family.

These steps above are particularly IMPORTANT for the following people;

  • Age 70 or over.
  • Have a long-term condition.
  • Are pregnant
  • Have a weakened immune system.
